Course content
1. Rational nutrition - definition, pyramid of healthy nutrition. 2. Characteristics of individual nutrients. 3. Nutritional habits at present. 4. Myths in nutrition. 5. The importance of nutrition education at present: delineation of education, determinants of education in the field of eating habits. 6. Methods and forms in the field of nutrition education. 7. Psychological Developmental Aspects of Food Behavior I. 8. Psychological Developmental Aspects of Food Behavior II. 9. Educational habits in the development of children's eating habits. 10. Inclusion and access to a student with alternative eating habits in school conditions. 11. Inclusion and access to a pupil with specific dietary needs in school conditions. 12. Prevention of eating disorders. 13. Curriculum Summary and Evaluation.

Learning activities and teaching methods
  • Preparation for comprehensive test (10-40) - 25 hours per semester

Charakterize basic nutrients (proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, vitamins, minerals) at the level of high school curriculum.
Describe the digestive system at the secondary school curriculum.
Describe the basic principles of rational nutrition.

Build a suitable diet based on general knowledge of rational nutrition.
Decompose daily intake of food according to the general recommendation.
