Course content
1. The employment. Contract of employment. The rights and obligations arising from the employment relationship 2. Changes in employment. Transfer of rights and obligations to another employer 3. Termination of employment on the basis of legal events 4. Legal proceedings and their legal consequences 5. Working hours and periods of rest 6. Remuneration for work - wage, salary 7. Impediments to work 8. Leave and care employer for employee 9. Prevention and liability for damage in labor law. Liability of employee for damage 10. Liability of employer for damage 11. Agreements on work performed outside the employment relationship. Agency employment 12. Decision in labor disputes

Knowledge
The course is defined as obligatory for the students in the third year of the Master?s degree in law studies and in the third year of the Bachelor?s degree in public administration studies.
learning outcomes
Students - will learn basic terms used when implementing individual labour-law relationships in the area of employment and collective labour law, will identify basic aspects of an employment policy, will specify general binding and labour-law regulations - will identify the basic principles guiding the creation of internal rules of the employer - will describe how and why acts are changed and how these changes affect the labour-law area - will create a timeline of the development of legal regulation of collective employment relationships and employment policy and will put the information gained into an international law context - will apply theoretical knowledge to model situations dealing with case studies of liability relationships in the area of labour law - will elect a functional solution with regard to the outputs stated - will relate individual employment relationships with collective employment relationships Students will be capable of - analyzing the merits of commencement, change and termination of basic and related employment relationships, in particular liability relationships - orienting themselves in the principles of correct time organization for the performance of dependent work and managing employees - correctly examining and interpreting the legal regulations on working hours and periods of rest appropriately applying legal regulations on remuneration in employment law relationships - choosing from the various functional forms of forming a personnel strategy for employee care, in particular as it relates to occupational health and safety protection and during the care of employees social and cultural conditions - proposing practical methods and plans for reacting appropriately in cases of accidents at work and how to resolve them - creating correct internal rules of the employer, preparing collective agreements - establishing a trade union and compiling its statutes.
