Course content
The aim is to verify the student's ability to create an independent approach to scientific topic. Students will acquire basic knowledge and skills that are necessary for the preparation and implementation of the thesis (the DP). They will acquire the ability to work with scientific literature, demonstrate the ability to prepare a research project. Student will suggest a project of his/ her DP, comprising: 1) motivation for choosing the topic DP 2) objective, the aim of which will be the theme treated in the theoretical event. practical work 3) thesis timetable, ie. work schedule with deadlines, which the author undertakes to follow 4) a reference to the theoretical background of the selected topic DP (philosophical, pedagogical, psychological) 5) the review study, conclusions of analogous research (use database UK UWB) 6) formulate research questions, assertions (preconditions) event. research hypotheses 7) design research (qualitative, quantitative, mixed) 8) the characteristics of the sample 9) a description of data collection methods (at least two methods) 10) methods to be used in the evaluation of research results, ie. When verifying the veracity of the hypotheses (assertions, assumptions)it may be either qualitative (content categorical analysis, specific coding procedures) or quantitative (mathematical and statistical procedures, usually t-test, correlation, chi-square etc.). 11) interpretation of results, discussion of results with respect to the current foreign and Czech publications 12) the anticipated benefits of DP event. recommendations for teaching practice 13) list of academic literature The thesis is a project output master's degree program, is a prerequisite for taking the state final examination in the relevant field of study.

- describe the basic concepts of psychological issues, which he wants to address in his thesis
- explain basic knowledge in the field of empirical research, ie list the requirements for research methods
- define the rules of the ISO 690 citation standard

- work with professional literature, ie create brief overview studies from research that has examined the topics he wants to deal with in his thesis
- to comply with the citation standard ISO 690 in the adopted texts

- evaluate the state of the current solution of the observed research problem in the Czech and international context
- define and critically analyze the basic concepts of the researched issues from various authors
- list the ethical principles and rules of pedagogical-psychological research
- characterize quantitative or qualitative procedures in the preparation of research and in the evaluation of its results
- describe the expected contribution of DP for pedagogical practice
