Course content
1. Models and concepts of giftedness (Tannenbaum, Renzulli, Monks, Gagne ...). 2. Characteristics of gifted students (gifted types, characteristic manifestations of gifted children and pupils in school). 3. Self-concept of gifted students, socio-emotional problems of gifted. 4. requirements on the personality of the teacher working with gifted pupil (power and character, pedagogical and psychological skills). 5. Specifics of communication with the psychologist, special education teacher and parents of gifted children and students. 6. Identification of gifted students in elementary schools (forms, procedures, methods). 7. Approaches to Gifted Education (acceleration, enrichment, socialization). 8. Creating an individual education plan for gifted child. 9. Evaluation of gifted children and pupils (form and function, gaps in the evaluation of gifted students, perception fairness). 10. Inclusions of gifted students in the traditional class group (forms and methods of supporting the interaction of gifted children and pupils with other pupils). 11. Identification of specific forms of talent (motor, music art, interpersonal ...) and the possibility of development in primary common type. 12. Problem situations when working with gifted children and pupils in the school. 13. Case reports of gifted children and pupils.

- describe the pupil's personality with special educational needs,
- to link individual findings from eduactional and developmental psychology ,
- create own work plan and present it before the group.

Knowledge
- to define the personality of the gifted pupil from the legislative and the curricular point of view,
- to clarify models and concepts of gift,
- to evaluate their own personality prerequisites for working with a gifted pupil,
- to describe characteristic features of gifted pupils,
- to characterize individual approaches to the education of gifted pupils,
- to assess the possibilities of inclusion of gifted pupils in the regular classroom and the suitability of different forms of gifted pupils.
Skills
- to create a work plan with a gifted pupil,
- to characterize the specifics of the personality of gifted pupils, to distinguish the individual manifestations of talents with respect to age,
-to use individual theory of talent to practice,
- to explain the issue of education not only for the professional but also for the general public in practice,
- to use inclusion methods for effective teaching of gifted pupils.
