Course content
1. Practical application of psychology in the health service. 2. Illness issue. 3. Illness impact on the patient's psyche. 4. Illness and a patient, autoplastic picture of disease. 5. Coping with illness and suffering. 6. The patient's entrance to the hospital; patient's adaptation to hospitalization. 7. Hospitalism. 8. Patient's fear and anxious. 9. Chronically ill patient, men and women in illness. 10. Psychology of pain. 11. Comparison between psychological situation of a ill and health man, conduct a psychological observation of patient with guidance. 12. Pain and its adult's and child's experience.

Knowledge
The basic knowledge of terminology of General, Developmental and Social Psychology within the scope of a conditional course PCH1 and Neuropsychology.
learning outcomes
Students are able to: - use knowledge of medical psychology to trace the mental condition of a patient; - describe coping with trauma of particular somatic illness; - apply the psychomotor function physiotherapy in the complex rehabilitation program; - manage psychomotor stimulation of handicapped people; - manage the patient's family education with the aim of home rehabilitation.
