Course content
TOPICS OF INDIVIDUAL PSYCHOLOGY LECTURES 1. Introduction to individual psychology studies, its matter, meaning 2. Concept of personality, its structure 3. Basic attitudes to personality investigation 4. Biological and sociocultural determination, models of determination 5. Motivation, regularities of motivation, classification of needs 6. Character, attitudes, their formation 7. Self-regulational qualities, character of will 8. Temperament, basic typology of temperament 9. Abilities, dispositions, special abilities, intelligence, creativity 10. Frustration, defence mechanisms, deprivation 11. Stress, periods, stressors, prevention and stress management 12. Conflict, types of conflicts, their causes and ways of solving 13. Periodization of human personality development

Knowledge
- to describe the notion of personality, to clarify the basic approaches of its investigation
- explain the main models of personality determination
- to characterize individual components of personality (motivation, character, attitude, self-regulation characteristics, temperament, its basic typology, abilities, talent, intelligence, creativity)
- to enumerate basic knowledge of personality formation in challenging life situations (frustration, deprivation, stress and conflict)
- to describe the basic ideas of the main theories of personality
Skills
- self-reflection of one's own personality, ie to describe and critically analyze the results non-standardized techniques for self-awareness
- to name the possible factors for determining the development of some of the characteristics of their personality, to try to reveal their potency, the reserves
- set the goals of personal development
- apply the theoretical knowledge about coping with difficult life situations when dealing with them in their lives
- write a seminar paper on the topic: "Describing some of the characteristics of my personality, their possible determination and self-regulation"
