Course content
1. The effect of stress on people, the division of stress, situational stress, chronic stress to burnout syndrome or other psychological disorders and diseases. 2. The relationship between stress and needs, the theory of challenging life situations, burnout syndrome. 3. The importance of sleep, dreams and healthy eating on stress regulation. 4. Relaxation techniques and the art of active and restful relaxation. 5. Relaxation, self-awareness and concentration, self-control. 6. Progressive relaxation. 7. Autogenic training. 8. The importance of imagery for stress regulation and relaxation. 9. Elements of expressive therapies for stress regulation and prevention. 10. Relaxation through active movement and yoga. 11. Mindfulessness and the importance of focused attention on the "here and now" situation. 12. The difference between rest, relaxation and procrastination. 13. Final evaluation.

  • Contact hours - 26 hours per semester
