Course content
Syllabus of lectures: Application of Developmental Psychology in Nursing. Characteristics of major developmental periods. Integration period (prenatal period, early childhood - neonatal, infant, toddler, pre-school, younger school age, pubescence and adolescence) and its specifics in healthcare practice. Cultivation period (adulthood) during illness. Involutionary period (aging, aging) and specificities in nursing. Health Psychology. Psychological issues of illness. Psychology of ambulantly treated and hospitalized patient. Influence of the disease on the patient's psyche. Illness as a difficult life situation. Adaptation to hospitalization, hospitalism, separation anxiety. Chronic ill. Syllabus of exercises: Prenatal communication, baby massages Psychological approach in a child patient Methodology of educational activities according to the age and illness of the child Cognitive function training for seniors Comparison of the psychological situation of a healthy and sick person. Model situations - the attitudes of patients to the illness.
