Course content
1. The subject matter of psychology. Classification of psychological sciences and their characteristics. 2. Personality, its features and structure. Modern theory of personality. 3. Performance characteristics of personality. Abilities and skills. 4. Temperament and character. Personality motives. 5. Socialization of personality. Mechanisms and institutions of socialization. Socialization of individual features of a human being. Socio-psychical characteristics of personality. 6. Genesis and structure of human self-awareness. Development of self-concept. 7. Social perception and factors that influence it. 8. Social communication and its structure. Communication disturbances. 9. The art of dealing with people. Strategy and tactics for dealing with people. 10. Social groups and their classification. Characteristics of small social groups and their influence on the formation of personality. 11. Family as a small social group. Family Structure and Function. 12. Social role and social status. Sociometric position of an individual in a group. The role of the group leader. 13. Difficult life situations and techniques of coping with them. 14. Social norms, attitudes and values. Factors that influence the value orientation of a human being. Seminars Content: 1. Psychological processes and their characteristics. 2. Cognitive processes and their outcomes. 3. Psychological diagnostics. Overview of diagnostic methods and their characteristics. 4. Projective methods. 5. Personality questionnaires. 6. Sociometrics. Sociometric research and its analysis. 7. Psychodrama, sociodrama, role-play technique (practical exhibition of psychodramatic performances and their application in legal practice. 8. Social psychological performances with therapeutic potential. 9. The art of dealing with people. Exercises in non-verbal communication. 10. Social psychological characteristics of personality. 11. Self-management. Personal development plan. 12. Microclimate of juveniles, gerontal and deviant individuals. 13. Regulation of authentic psychic states.

Basic knowledge of social and natural sciences within the scope of high school study.

Students will - understand the client's personality, the functioning of cognitive and emotional processes of human psyche, - comprehend basic principles of the functioning of individual mental functions and of the whole personality, - acquire basic knowledge and skills from the fields of general psychology, developmental psychology, including personality psychology, and their application to the area of interpersonal relationships and effective communication,
