Course content
The course is primarily focused on ways of technological innovation in manufacturing companies. Concentration is on both product and service innovation as well as business process innovation with regard to the wider applicability of the company in the market. Students will learn to use methods and techniques for finding new business models of industrial companies with their subsequent stabilization in the organizational structure of the company. An integral part of the course is also software support for the mentioned topics. 1. Introduction, semester plan, short overview of individual topics 2. Trends, technological innovations and innovation environment 3. Collaborative tools, mind maps 4. Technological innovations of products and services with regard to customer needs 5. Personas a Customer Empathy Map 6. Jobs to be Done 7. Added value of the product for the customer - Value Proposition Canvas, Business Model Canvas 8. Design thinking 9. Pitch presentation 10. Examples of organizational structures of successful companies 11. Software support for production process innovation - Siemens Process Simulate 12. Siemens Process Simulate - automation and robotics 13. Siemens Process Simulate - ergonomics and human factor
