Course content
The course is focused on basic knowledge of strategic management of companies. Students will learn the basics of strategic management, business strategy, its preparation, implementation and updating. They will also gain an overview of the transfer of strategic goals into strategic plans and projects and become familiar with modern methods supporting these activities. 1. Firm in the market economy, global development tendencies 2. Strategic management systém of the industrial enterprises, the basis of strategy 3. Analysis of the general and business environment of the company 4. Internal busines analysis, benchmarking 5. Methods af analysis and prognosis od environtment development, conclusion of SWOT analysis 6. Formulation of strategic variants 7. Variation evaluation and optimaL strategy selection 8. Corporate strategy, partial strategies, ways of implementing the strategy 9. Strategic and sequential busines plans 10. The Balanced Scorecard concept 11. Evaluiation and strategy changes 12. Strategic management systém and its knowledge support 13. Futher development of strategic management
