Course content
The specific content of the subject is partly situationally variable. The realism and topicality of the communication areas is key. Practical language: 1. Introducing, addressing. 2. Information about oneself, courtesy phrases, use of "please" in Russian and in Czech. 3. Filling in surveys with personal data. Game "green card". Discussion: data trail. 4. Differences between formal and informal communication (personal correspondence, chat, blog, wlog, dealing with authorities, communication with teachers). The café game. 5. Family. Family and intergenerational relationships in different cultures. Genre of narrative. 6. Family holidays and rituals. 7. Education. Own educational history and plans. 8. Studying at university. Introducing the alma mater (monologue, student video). Mediation: simulation of guiding guests around the faculty. 9. Telecollaborative project: online discussion with students from a selected partner university and the educational system and daily studies. 10. Classroom situation. Simulation of lesson management in Russian. 11. Orientation in the city. Inquiring the way - staging games. 12. Russian traces in the Pilsen region (presentation with interpretation). 13. Repetition. Evaluation of activities. Formative assessment. Individual assessment of learning outcomes. ICC: 1. Introduction to the concept of teaching realia and IKK. Big-C Culture, small-c culture, linguorealia, "minimum of realities", role of intercultural mediator. 2. Geography of RF: location, area, borders. Territoriality and national identity. Working with a map. Mental map of Russia through the eyes of different actors. 3. Geography of the RF: relief, climate, natural zones, UNESCO natural monuments, ecology. 4. Geography of the RF: transport. The Trans-Siberian Railway. 5. Administrative division. Non-Russian peoples of the RF. 6. State structure and institutions of the RF. 7. State symbols. 8. Demography of the RF: population, demographic development. Urban and rural areas. 9. Education system in the RF. 10. Economy, structure of the RF economy. Analysis of the current economic situation - work with data. 11. Case studies on current Czech-Russian relations. Russian-speaking pupils in Czech schools. 12. Analysis of phenomena associated with Russia: greatness,, patriotism, fatalism, resilience. Discussion: the individual and society, the individual and power. 13. Summary and evaluation: different perspectives and teaching realities.
