Course content
The course informs about the development of the given field and its current sate. Students obtain basic overview of Russian language and theoretical approaches with an overview of basic literature and tools for studies. Thematic issues: 1. Language, linguistics and its structure 2. Language as a social feature. 3. Language as a part of structured system 4. Phonetic system of language. 5. Morphological system of language. 6. Syntactical system 7. Lexical system 8. Classification of languages of the world. 9. Slavonic languages. Origin of Slavonic literature. Characteristics of East-Slavonic languages. 10. Historical development of Russian. Origin and development of cyrilic. 11. Genetic relationship of Russian and Czech. 12. Basic Russian press (RF, CZ)
