Course content
In first part of the lectures students are introduced to multidisciplinar background of paleoanthropology, second part deals with taxonomy, ecology and evolution of primates, third part is dedicated to evolution of hominins from australopithecus to anatomicaly modern humans. Separately is drawn up contemporary knowledge from research of genom prehistorical population. Human evolution in the end of pleistocen and holocen, which is connected to the subjects of variability evolution and human adaptability in frame of different ecosystems, is intruduced, as well. Seminar of Biological Anthropology 2 is concentrated on the epistemologic reflexion of paleoanthropology history. Seminar work starts from texts about theoretical research about science (Popper, Kuhn, Feyrabend etc.) with principal focus in history of research about human evolution.
