Course content
- Ethnographic movie in the context of cultural and anthropology social anthropology. - Introduction to the subject of documentary movie. Definition of documentary movie in relationship to the "acted" movie and TV journalism. Docuganda, docudrama - Realism and formalism in the documentary movie (analysis of particular works) - "propaganda" movie, or the "documentary" movie in the services of totalitarian regimes. - Development of ethnographic documentaries (projection of relevant movies), interpretation of basic works and approaches, atributes of ethnographic movie - Reflection of various approaches to representation of: a) livelihood strategies, b) kinship systems and institutions, c) field research, d) political systems and institutions, e) economical systems and institutions, f) aculturation proceses, etc. in ethnographical or anthropological documentaries - Reflection of manifestations of various paradigmatic backgrounds in the context of ethnographical/anthropological movies.

využívat elektronické informační zdroje
uchopit obsah filmu v základních sociálněvědních pojmech
napsat kultivovaný reflexivní text o vybraném filmovém díle
learning outcomes
Knowledge
vysvětlit a obhájit tezi, že dokumentární film nepředstavuje objektivní záznam sociální reality, ale způsob její interpretace
z antropologického hlediska charakterizovat společnosti, které jsou v etnografických filmech zobrazeny
v rámci dokumentárního filmu identifikovat antropologicky relevantní témata
Skills
představit vybrané etnografické filmy a analyzovat jejich obsah se zřetelem k dobovému kontextu jejich vzniku
uvést vybrané etnografické filmy do souvislosti s antropologickým konceptuálním a metodologickým aparátem
