Course content
1. Introduction - focus and goals of the lecture. Behavior and its study. 2. Classical ethology. The significance of the work of K. Lorenz. 3. Origin of human ethology. 4. Sociobiology and evolutionary psychology. 5. Innate behavior, instincts. 6. Learning. 7. Comfortable behavior. Territorial behavior. 8. Sexual behavior - principles of reproduction, choice of partner. 9. Sexual behavior - completion. 10. Parental and juvenile behavior. 11. Social behavior 1. 12. Social behavior 2. 13. Altruism vs. agonistic behavior.
