Topics: 1) The field in the period of the so-called Second Republic: between tradition and Nazi pressure. 2) The field during the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia under Nazi pressure. 3) The field in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia as an encouragement of national identity. 4) Outline of the history of the field after the Second World War. 5) Neoevolutionism (Steward, White). 6) Ethnohistory. Sahlins. Wolf. 7) Structuralism (Claude Lévi-Strauss and the world of categories). Cognitive anthropology. 8) Poststructuralism (Bourdieur) and others. 9) The crisis of anthropology and the interpretive turn. Cultural materialism (Harris). 10) Clifford Geertz, cockfighting in Bali and "culture as text". 11) Writing Culture-Debate. 12) Foucault, Said, Fabian. 13) Dialogic Texts, Crapanzamo and Tuhami.
