| students are able to: - identify studied causal relations in important recent and classic sociological papers - analyse used methodology for study of these causal relations - suggest how to improve analysed methodology - assess efects and feasibility suggested improvements - assess advantages and disadvantages of different methodological solutions. |

| charakterizovat metody ne-experimentálního kvantitativního výzkumu (jednorázová šetření, opakovaná průřezová šetření, panelová šetření, kohortní analýza, víceúrovňová analýza dat, analýza malých vzorků záměrných výběrů (response-based sampling)). |
| vyjmenovat a charakterizovat klíčové studie využívající studované kvantitativní metody. |
