Course content
1. Transalpine renaissance and mannerism. 2. Renaissance and mannerism in the Czech region. 3. Baroque art in Italy. 4. Baroque, baroque cassicism and rococo in Europe. 5. Baroque art in the Czech region. 6. Neoclassicism and empire style in Europe. 7. Romanticism and realism. 8. Impressionism. 9. Post-impressionism and symbolism. 10. Architecture and crafts of the historicism. 11. 19th century art in the Czech region: from classicism to the so-called National theater generation. 12. Art nouveau: centers and leading personalities. 13. Summary, repetition.

in terms of the course curriculum KVU / DUM1: to describe and briefly define the gradual evolution of art to characterize historical artistic canons to classify a work of art, according to the origin and style to enumerate major centers of development of particular styles, name principal representatives of various art branches to explain the role of artist or artisan, their position in the process of art piece development to know the scheme of structural model of art to use information about a magical, mythical, realistic, reflexive, modernist and postmodernistic semiological model of art

in terms of the course curriculum KVU / DUM1: to identify and classify the elements used in various periods and styles to classify a work of art, according to the origin and style to evaluate the historical development of the relationship between the contracting authority, the artist and the social impact of the work to assess the impact of technological progress on the development of art roughly assess the relation between art and semiology to apply historical knowledge to the current situation and to her/his own creation
