demonstrate basic knowledge of artistic and stylistic canons within the development of fine and applied arts in connection with general history, at a basic level, compare and analyze various artistic expressions from an aesthetic, semiotic and technical perspective, recall basic knowledge of supporting artistic disciplines

basic types and genres of painting in individual historical periods, important areas and centers of painting production, significant authors in individual stages of development, characteristic features of painting in individual stylistic stages, basic technological aspects of painting in history
Skills
chronologically classify paintings according to the material and technique used, chronologically classify paintings according to themes, name personalities from the perspective of the development of technology and style, present special stylistic and programmatic groups from history, show the characteristic features of painting style in the foci of its development using examples, describe the historical development of painting in the Czech lands comprehensively, formulate in one's own words an opinion on the development of painting in the 20th century and on contemporary painting, follow the mutual influences between the historical centers of painting development, conduct an analysis of a painting from an aesthetic and content perspective, distinguish detailed stylistic elements on specific examples from history, compare the possibilities of painting in relation to technological knowledge in the historical period, assess the basic contribution of significant personalities of painting from the perspective of their contribution to historical and stylistic development
