Course content
1. Development of definitions of fine arts in its history. Historical and contemporary types of fine arts. Works of art as part of the artistic process. Research of the artistic process. 2. Art as a Semiological Factor (Mukařovský). Transformation of the structure of a semiotic model and its application to the history of art. A magical, mythical, realistic, reflexive, modernist and postmodernist semiotic model. 3. Art as a structure. Structural model, structure development. Artistic process and its historical transformations (artist, work, viewer). Cooperative (communication) and cognitive functions of art. 4. The world in which we paint ... The most remarkable characteristics of the present age from positions of artistic interest. From static model to transformation, from reflection to interactivity, from observer to active participant. 5. Development of understanding and imaging of space from totem (against the background of chaos), through the stability of space (meaning of perspective and composition) to its time-space relational dynamics. 6. Emancipation of man in his depiction. From prehistoric, to magical, mythical, realistic, subjectivist and postmodernist depictions of man. From determination to creation. Creation as self-transcendence. 7. Sensuality. Share of other senses to visualize your surroundings. The structural consequence of the development of the psychosomatic part of the personality (Jean Piaget). 8. View the object. From the magical to the transformational and relational understanding of the object. Image Object and Image Element - Image Revolution in Paul Cézanne's Work. Relation of image elements as the basis of modernity. 9. Marcel Duchamp and his revolution in the concept of artistic process (work, author, viewer). Object in Sessions. Metaphor in Image Thinking (Lakoff, Johnson). Language, speech and image. 10. Space-time conception of reality and new media. Transformation of qualities. Interactivity. 11. Current artistic tendencies and their historical sources 12. Analysis of own visual direction from the positions of history and contemporary art. 13. Art education, apologetics and criticism of pedagogical effects of art (Read)

profound knowledge of the history of art in the subject field on forms of discussion on the issues of artistic creation techniques from the period under review about the possibilities of analyzing the chosen artwork from various points of view about the structural model of art about a magical, mythical, realistic, reflexive, modernist and postmodernist seemological model of art

to analyze selected works of art in terms of composition to identify the iconographic significance of selected artworks to classify artworks according to the style period, or identify their author to asess the work of art considering its importance for the period.
