Course content
In the introductory part emphasis is on practical exercises and on getting acquainted with searching information in systems of legal information and with both Czech and foreign information systems. The course includes fundamentals of theory of legal text, theory of quantitative linguistics, theory of legal concepts, analysis of development of the Czech system of law, theory of construction of systems of legal instruction supported by computers- hypertext, multimedia, artificial intelligence. The program requires a laptop, a Windows environment and 10 GB of disk space.

Knowledge
Students learn how to search legal texts necessary for deciding cases. They analyze given problems from the point of view of necessary basic materials to be searched. They understand structure and functions of systems of legal information based on European and American standards and learn how to use these systems and to demonstrate postulates of jurisprudence on concrete data
