Course content
In the first year of studies the classes are orientated on the improvement of techniques of breast stroke, backstroke and on the practice of crawl-stroke. In the next years of studies the classes are orientated on further improvement of these strokes with a special view to endurance. It is possible to start with the practice of butterfly stroke with students of top technical performance. The rescue of drowning persons is practised in all years of studies. Water polo is an additional discipline.

Knowledge
Basic knowledge and skills of P.E. obtained at basic and secondary school.
learning outcomes
After 2 semesters of this course students are able to master the basic techniques of breast stroke, backstroke and crawl-stroke. In the next years of studies students get familiar with butterfly stroke as well. Students also learn basic grips and grasps of the rescue of drowning persons.
