Course content
1. Introduction to the subject Didactics of gymnastics, 2. Specialized gymnastic preparation in the school PE, 3. Didactic presentations - methodical procedure of skill practice, spotting and and rescue spotting in practice of acrobatic elements, 4. Didactic presentations - methodical procedure of skill practice, spotting and and rescue spotting in practice of elements at equipment (vault), 5. Didactic presentations - methodical procedure of skill practice, spotting and and rescue spotting in practice of elements at equipment (balance beam), 6. Didactic presentations - methodical procedure of skill practice, spotting and and rescue spotting in practice of elements at equipment (horizontal bar), 7. Didactic presentations - methodical procedure of skill practice, spotting and and rescue spotting in practice of elements at equipment (parallel and uneven bars), 8. Didactic presentations - methodical procedure of skill practice, spotting and and rescue spotting in practice of jumps at equipment (trampoline), 9. Didactic presentations - methodical procedure of skill practice, spotting and and rescue spotting in practice of elements at equipment (still rings), 10. Preparatory and supplementary exercises in gymnastics, 11. Didactic-organizational forms in gymnastics, 12. Didactic leadership styles in gymnastics. Didactics of fighting techniques (combat sports): 1. Introduction, the nature of combat sports, basic and preparatory exercises, safety in teaching combat sports, fighting techniques, 2-3. Repetition and practice of falls (backward, forward, side, modification, falling games) 4-6. Judo, basic techniques, takedowns, throws and grappling holds in Judo, games with the inclusion of techniques of judo, 7. The basic elements of wrestling, the modification to the school PE, 8-9. The technique of karate. Punches, kicks and their modification to the school PE, 10-11. Self-defense against holding the arm, strangling, grappling holds. Self-defense against punches (strikes), kicks, immobilizing an attacker, 12-13. Fundamentals of aikido, combat games in the lessons of PE.

to explain and use knowledge of terminology in elementary, rhythmic and artistic gymnastics, modern kinds of exercises with music and combat sports
to explain and justify the spotting, rescue spotting and methodology of practice of individual gymnastic exercises
to explain basic terminology, methodology of practice and safety rules in combat sports
Skills
to show practical skills from elementary, rhythmic and artistic gymnastics, modern kinds of exercises with music and selected exercises from combat sports
to provide the right spotting and rescue spotting during the exercises
learning outcomes
Knowledge
to bring theoretical knowledge from gymnastics into connection with their practical use in physical education process at high school
to evaluate importance of gymnastic exercises and specialized gymnastic preparations in other sport branches
to apply theoretical and practical knowledge from completed kinds of gymnastics, knowledge of methodology of practice of gymnastic elements, their spotting and rescue spotting when creating the preparation of the lesson of physical education with gymnastic content

to verify appropriateness of content, organization and teaching methods of created preparation of the lesson of physical education at didactic presentation (teaching PE lesson)
