Course content
Theory and methodology of cross-country skiing - langlauf racing and skating. Theory and methodology of downhill skiing and turning on skis; general and specialized ski preparation. Equipment, ski lubrication. Principles and safety when staying in mountains. Preparation and realization of all-day trip on cross-country skies.

  • Attendance on a field trip (number of real hours - maximum 8h/day) - 40 hours per semester

to use basic theoretical knowledge form the field of cross country and downhill skiing in range of recommended high school study

to practically use basic skiing skills in range of recommended high school study
learning outcomes
Knowledge
to perform theoretical knowledge of the first period of basic skiing education in cross-country skiing and basic skills of general and specialized ski preparation,
to describe and explain the methodology process of training of different types of ski run and basic skills of general and specialized ski preparation,
to identify and revise mistakes in the technique of the individual types of ski run and basic skills of general and specialized ski preparation,
to summarize and make connection between theoretical knowledge from the field of safety and danger in mountains, preparation of all-day trip on cross-country skies, preparation and service of skies, general and specialized ski preparation, methodology and technique of cross-coutry skiing.

to identify and correct mistakes in the technique of the individual types of cross-country skiing and general and specialized ski training,
