Course content
Techniques and methodologies of downhill skiing and turning on skis - the different types of arches, the methodology of practice. The other movement activities in the mountains, didactics of skiing, skiing of children, skiing of an older population and the disabled.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture supplemented with a discussion, Lecture with a video analysis, Collaborative instruction, Multimedia supported teaching, Skills demonstration, Lecture, Practicum, Field trip
  • Contact hours - 10 hours per semester
  • Attendance on a field trip (number of real hours - maximum 8h/day) - 42 hours per semester
  • Preparation for comprehensive test (10-40) - 10 hours per semester
prerequisite
Knowledge
focus on theoretical issues: the history of skiing, technique and methodic of cross country skiing,
enumerate and describe various elements of the general ski training
Skills
use a full range of practical skills in the area of crosscountry and downhill skiing,
acquired practical skills from the field of general ski training,
appropriately apply the methodology of teaching according to the age, skills and current state of the pupil and the environment, to lead a team of skiers separately,
have acquired practical skills from the field of the first stage of basic cross-country skiing.
