Course content
1. Basic issues in the field of applied physical activities. 2. Classification of disabilities. Types of disabilities. 3. Characteristics of the individual needs of people with different types of disability. Musculoskeletal disability. 4. Characteristics of the individual needs of people with different types of disability. Sensory disability. 5. Characteristics of the individual needs of people with different types of disability. Mental disability. 6. Characteristics of the individual needs of people with different types of disability. Internal weakness. 7. Movement recreation for disabled people in various work conditions. 8. The social importance of integrating people with disabilities in physical recreation. 9. Integration of disabled people in physical education and sport. 10. Sports and physical activities of people with disabilities, the Paralympic Games, Special Olympics. 11. Possible inclusion of pupils with special needs, peer tutoring. 12. Organisations working with individuals with disabilities. 13. Presentation and evaluation of didactic output.

to demonstrate entry knowledge of anatomy, physiology, compensatory movement activities and theory of movement recreation
to implement knowledge from previous studies into the didactic process of integration of people with various disabilities
to analyze the problems of handicap in different age groups
Skills
to apply and implement practical skills from previous studies into an active didactic process of making physical activities accessible to people with disabilities
to show taste, empathy and initial motivation to accept handicap
learning outcomes
Knowledge
to orientate in basic concepts in the field of applied physical activities and apply them in conditions of physical education and sports of people with disabilities
to synthesize and appropriately apply previously acquired knowledge from the fields of physiology, psychology, pedagogy, recreology and theory of physical recreation to handicaps issues
to search in the literature for terms linking individual areas of care for the handicapped and to use them appropriately
Skills
to practically use applied physical activities in physical education and sport of people with disabilities
to create, defend and lead the didactic practical presentation with respect to individual peculiarities of exercising individuals with different types of disabilities
to present and evaluate the exercise unit from the functional, psychological and social point of view
