Course content
|
1. Introduction to media pedagogy in school with a focus on critical-receptive and artistic-creative activities in school education 2. Czech system of media pedagogy and education, development and present. 3. Effects of mass media, audience and control of media institutions. 4. Media content, forms and genres in the media, media convergence. 5. The relevance of social semiotics and semiotic analysis of media and mass media messages for educational practice. 6. Visual and audiovisual literacy and multimodal concept of analysis of multimedia communications in media pedagogy. 8. Visual and audiovisual rhetoric of print media, advertising and television news. 9. Visual manipulation in photography - photomontage and photojournalism. 10. Reflection of mainstream films, animation and music videos in the context of media and audiovisual education, specifics of creative processes. 11. The influence of visual and audiovisual media, including computer games, on contemporary youth. 13. Internet and social networking risks, the importance of artificial intelligence in the computer networking space.
