Course content
1. Contemporary forms of art / visual arts. 2. Artistic / visual expression. What is art? Art and art education. 3. Benefits and functions of art. 4. The relationship of artistic and aesthetic value (art and kitsch, art and falzum). 5. Interpretation and art mediation for pupils. 6. Modern art. 7. Means of art expression and their comparison. 8. Movement, time and body in art. 9. Postmodernism in Art. 10. Sculpture and object creation especially in the 20th and 21st centuries. 11. Architectural creation especially in the 20th and 21st centuries. 12. Artistic experience and child. 13. Art / visual forms in the child's environment. theory.

to compare means of artistic expression of various styles and movements.

to classify artwork into historical period on the basis of stylistic analysis;

to explain the use of means of expression;
to transform some art concepts and practices into an art task for children from elementary schools.
