Course content
1 - introduction to the subject, basic of safety at work, relationship to other subjects, assignment of the task, basic briefing 2 - demonstration of historical prints, history of book, Plzen, depositary of State Scientific Library 3 - introduction to work with type case, basic typographic measure, slip material, straight and mixed setting and their rules 4 - excursion, relief printing and its current use 5 - basics of correction process, setting and its correction 6 - tidying and cleaning at workplace - system in letterpress printing studio 7 - development of setting and print from its invention to the present, excursion in bookbinding department, off-set 8 - individual work at the case 9 - arrangement of text and picture, creation of block 10 - relief print 11 - preparation and making of semestral work 12 - making and finalization of semestral work 13 - projection of film about letterpress printing
