1. Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic and Constitutional Justice in the Czech Republic (including case-law). 2. Concept of the Protection of Constitutionality in the Czech Republic (type of constitutional justice with regard to the scope of judicial review). 3. Position of the Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic in the Czech System of Courts (in light of the Constitutional Court case-law). 4. General Character of Proceedings before the Constitutional Court (in light of the Constitutional Court case-law). 5. Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic in the System of Separation of Powers (constitutional relationships under the Constitution and in practice). 6. Continuation of the Proceedings before the Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic in the European Court of Human Rights (the concept of the court procedure). 7. Authority and Competences of the Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic (wording of Art. 87 of the Constitution and its practical application). 8. Proceedings before the Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic (types of proceedings). 9. Types of Constitutional Complaints (comparison of the wording and practical application of the legal regulation). 10. Constitutional Complaints of Natural and Legal Persons (in light of the Constitutional Court case-law). 11. Judicial Review of the Constitutionality of Legal Regulations (compliance of legal regulations). 12. Essentials Features of the Constitutional Complaint Contents (under the law and in constitutional practice). 13. Admissibility of Constitutional Complaints in View of Proceedings before the Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic (in light of the Constitutional Court case-law). 14. The Role of a Judge-Rapporteur in deciding on a Constitutional Complaint (practical point of view). 15. Representation before the Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic (in light of the Constitutional Court case-law). 16. Decision Making of Public Authorities in Relation to Protection of a Person before the Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic (in light of the Constitutional Court case-law). 17. Proceedings Concerning a Constitutional Complaint before the Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic ( process according to the law and in practice). 18. Judgment on a Constitutional Complaint, Binding Character of the Constitutional Court Decision (theoretical and practical issues). 19. Enforceability of Judgments on Constitutional Complaints. 20. The So-Called Other Interventions of Public Authorities (practical point of view).

| zaměřit se na vymezení ústavního soudnictví ČR z hlediska různých modelů kontroly ústavnosti, dále na působnost a pravomoci Ústavního soudu, různé typy řízení před ÚS včetně souvisejících vztahů jednotlivých orgánů veřejné moci, jednotlivce a to nejen v rámci ČR, ale i v návaznosti na judikaturu Štrasburského tribunálu aplikovat znalosti a zkušenosti na vybraných případech, a to včetně zpracovávání konkrétních ústavních stížností |

| The students will be able to: - identify the position, role and meaning of constitutional justice in the system of legal regulation - differentiate among the individual types of judicial review and understand its concept in the Czech Republic - identify the Power and Competences of the Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic including criteria of its decision making on grounds of its established practice - define and analyze principal types of the proceedings before the Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic - evaluate the admissibility of a constitutional complaint in view of its formal and material requirements - apply constitutional and other legal provisions with regard to the previous procedural situation - learn and use the terminology and apply relevant legal provisions - explain the position of the Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic in relation to international institutions, particularly the European Court of Human Rights |
