Lectures: 1. Introduction to the issues of Czech literature of the first half of the 19th century, methodological approaches, specialist literature, editions of fiction, conferences. 2. Enlightenment classicism, Enlightenment science, Josef Dobrovský, almanacs. 3. Drama and theater, popular reading books. 4. Josef Jungmann. 5. František Palacký and the Královédvorský and Zelenohorský Manuscripts. 6. Jan/Ján Kollár and František Ladislav Čelakovský. 7. Romanticism and Biedermeier, Karel Hynek Mácha. 8. Josef Kajetán Tyl. 9. Karel Havlíček Borovský. 10. Karel Jaromír Erben. 11. Bozena Němcová. 12. Karel Sabina and Josef Václav Frič, revolutionary year 1848. 13. Credit test.
