Course content
1. Eda Kriseová ? placing the work in the literary-historical context, choosing the topics of the papers, assigning a review: Cat's Lives 2. Principles of literary criticism: objectivity, knowledge of the context of the work3. Format and limits of literature review: style, scope, timeliness; discussion of the already published short story review Mluvící hora4. Choosing a suitable text for review: subjective aspects of literary criticism, danger of failure (Ranicki/Bachmann case)5. Eda Kriseová: creation in dissent, inversion of normality in the time of normalization: topos of the madhouse: Way of the Cross of the coachman6. Biography of a friend and president: Václav Havel7. A novel in letters and a historical feminist novel: Perchta z Rožmberk or The White Lady8. Adventure travelogue and historical novel: Miss H.'s Journey and Today's Africa9. A generational and European novel about the Czech minority in Ukraine: Cat's Lives10. Presentation of the new review of the novel Kočičí životy with subsequent discussion 11th, 12th: Moderation of the author's reading by Eda Kriseová and subsequent discussion with the author 13th.
