Course content
|
Lectures: 1. Conception of teaching Czech in the present. 2. Textbooks, activity books, handbooks and supplementary materials. 3. Didactic principles and methods of teaching (practical application). 4. Complete linguistic analysis of the text; types of exercises. 5. Methodology of phonetics and orthography. 6. Methodology of morphology. 7. Methodology of syntax. 8. Methodology of lexicology. 9. Methodology of word formation. 10. Learners' assignments, written and oral forms of screening learners' knowledge and skills, evaluation and marking. 11. Connections among school subjects and their parts; regional and current elements in their subject matter. 12. Communicative aspect of teaching Czech. Oral presentations. 13. Motivation, creativity, didactic games and competitions. Seminars It is based on the content of the lectures. Particular attention will be paid to the practical application of the acquired knowledge, based on specific simulated teaching situations presented in the students' seminar contributions. In addition, attention will be paid to findings (pros and cons) from students' practice in recent years, practical training of complex language analysis, correction of dictations, compilation of language exercises (including the formulation of assignments), methodology of preparation for the lesson, notes of the teaching material, organization of the teaching unit, updating and regionalization of the curriculum, the possibilities of educational influence on the pupil, the use of elements of playfulness and competitiveness in teaching, etc. The concept of the curriculum in textbooks and electronic learning resources will be evaluated in terms of the fulfillment of the expected outputs from RVP. During the presentations of specific simulated teaching situations, students will focus on annotation, analysis and alteration of assignments, they will assess the degree and quality of fulfillment of individual outputs from RVP. It will also focus on assessing the degree of integrity of teaching, on the connection of all components of the subject Czech language and literature (language, communication, style and literature).
