Course content
Lectures: 1. Methodology of literary history and analysis of the literature recommended to study. 2. Cultural-political conditions in literary development during the period from 1945 to 1950. 3. Poetry and prose from 1945 to 1950. 4. - 6. Cultural-political circumstances in literary development in the period from 1960 to 1969. Journals, poetry, prose and genre and thematic differentiation. 7. - 9. Cultural-political circumstances in literary development in the period from 1960 to 1970. Prose, poetry, drama and journals. 10. - 13. Literature in the period from 1970 to 1990. Communication areas, official and unofficial literature Seminars: 1. J. Kainar (Nové mýty), V. Holan (Panychida), J. Zahradníček (La Saletta) - reflection of the post-war period). 2. Skupina 42, J. Chalupecký (Svět, v němž žijeme), J. Kolář, I. Blatný, J. Hanč. 3. - 4. F. Hrubín (Jobova noc - Hirošima), F. Halas (V řadě - A co...), J. Seifert (Píseň o Viktorce), M. Kundera (Monology), O. Mikulášek (Ortely a milosti). 5. Themes of occupation in Czech prose. 6. - 8.
