Course content
1. Programme of the course, student requirements, form of course completion, literature. Basic lingustic and phonetic terminology. 2. Czech orthography as a system of lexical, morphological and syntactic orthographical phenomena. Phonetic transcription. 3. - 7. Lexical type of the orthographical phenomena; exercises, dictations. Classification of Czech vowels and consonants. Aspects of connected speech - assimilation. 8. - 9. Morphological type pf the orthographical phenomena; exercises, dictations. Acoustic means of connected speech. Segmentation of connected speech. 10. - 12. Syntactic type of orthographical phenomena; exercises, dictations. Orthoepic standards of spoken Czech.

describe the basic principles of orthoepy

interpret the distinguish function of graphemes (homophony)
apply the orthographical principles in the field of lexical, morphological and syntactic orthography
identify and correct spelling mistakes in defective text
analyse the phonetic structure of the word and classify respective phonemes into a phonemic system
identify and interpret phonetic changes in spoken text
manage the orthoepic norm (orthoepy) in practice
