Course content
The course expands students? knowledge of the interpersonal communication process, types of communication, and communication barriers, with a particular focus on interactions with individuals with disabilities. Students will explore effective strategies for communicating in everyday situations with people with various disabilities and their families, emphasizing the importance of understanding and adapting communication methods. The student applies effective interpersonal communication with individuals with disabilities, identifying communication barriers along the way. They integrate effective communication techniques into their work with people with disabilities and apply these skills when communicating with the families of individuals with disabilities, ensuring inclusive and supportive interactions in both professional and personal contexts.
