Course content
1. Introduction to Latin medical terminology. History of Latin terminology. Pronunciation and stress. Latin nouns, Greek nouns, declension, conjugation of the verb esse. 2. Nouns of 2nd declination. Greek nouns and 2nd declination. 3. Adjectives of 1st and 2nd declination. Passive perfect participle. Adverbs derived from adjectives of 1st and 2nd declension. 4. Verbs (mainly imperatives and 3rd Person conjunctive present active, abbreviations of these forms used in medical terminology. 5. Substantives of 4th and 5th declination. 6. Nouns of 3rd declension - masculines, feminines. 7. Nouns of 3rd declension - neutra. 8. Greek nouns and 3rd declension. 9. Adjectives of 3rd declension. 10. Present active participle. 11. Comparison of adjectives (regular and irregular). 12. Numerals. 13. Latin affixation. Prescriptions.
