Key learning outcomes
Undergraduates demonstrate knowledge and understanding of basic mathematical techniques (in calculus and analysis, linear algebra, discrete mathematics, probability and statistics, numerical methods), fundamentals of geomatics (surveying, photogrammetry, geographic information systems, cartography, cadastre and civil law) and fundamentals of information technologies and cybernetics (knowledge of computers and programming, fundamentals of cybernetics, financial informatics and analysis, basic system modeling). Undergraduates are further able to autonomously collect a spatial data using both traditional and up-to-date methods; process, store, administrate, update and visualize a spatial data; use geographic information systems, design and create basic and thematic large and middle scale maps ; autonomously perform surveying including interaction with cadastre of real estates; plan, process, analyze and evaluate a major project. Undergraduates have intermediate English language knowledge (min. Level B1 of Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). Undergraduates are able to use information systems, professionally formulate a discourse regarding geomatics; write, orally present and defend a major project (bachelor thesis).

Profile of the programme
This study programme is designed as an academic one. It consists of blocks of theoretical courses dealing with the field basic mathematical techniques and fundamentals of geomatics (surveying, photogrammetry, geographic information systems, cartography, cadastre and civil law). At the same time, it comprises a blocks of courses focusing on exploiting theoretical background in practice and on acquiring skills that the graduate can apply in surveying for geodesy and cadastre of real estates. This study programme is designed to equip the future graduate with theoretical background and skills necessary for study in a follow-up Master?s study programme Geomatics. Undergraduates will find job as workers designing and applying database systems, geographic information systems in cadastral offices, a public administration, in companies developing GIS and internet/web applications and in crisis management as data set providers and administrators.
