Key learning outcomes
|
The aim of the programme is to educate and train highly qualified international relations experts for academic positions, as well as for public and state service, international institutions, NGOs, advisory and analytic institutions or diplomatic services. Graduates will also be able to apply for specialist positions within the military forces, intelligence or development agencies, and in the media. The programme will familiarize the students with all aspects of academic work including teaching, research and publishing and graduates will be well prepared to start their own academic careers. Specialized optional courses also give students the opportunity to extend ther knowledge in their specific spheres of interest and build a basis for top-ranking non-academic professional careers. The graduate portfolio will include publications, intense language training and experience from abroad. The aim of the programme is to prepare graduates who will be successful in the labour market competition and who will claim high expertise in their area of interest. Therefore the Department will favour the strategy of an exclusive doctoral study based on individual approach to each of the students and on providing sufficient space for the development of their individual and professional skills.
