Course content
1. Political geography as part of modern political science 2. The influence of political processes on shaping the political map of the world 3. The spatial dimension of politics within the state - the electoral geography, internal political-administrative division of the country, regional political parties 4. The spatial dimension of international politics - introduction to geopolitics 5. Political region, typology of political regions, examples 6. The international system and anomalous units - weak states, collapsed states and quasi-states 7. The spatial dimension of conflict (political, ethnic, religious conflicts) 8. Political and territorial development in selected regions of the world

vymezit různé typy státotvorných procesů
charakterizovat procesy, které ovlivňují vnitřní i zahraniční politiku státu
klasifikovat jednotlivé typy politicko-geografických regionů
popsat formování politicko-geografické struktury jednotlivých regionů světa
vysvětlit vztah mezi geografickou sférou a politickou v rámci státu i v mezinárodním prostředí
charakterizovat význam politické geografie pro obor politologie a mezinárodní vztahy
Skills
na základně získaných znalostí samostatně analyzovat vliv politicko-geografických faktorů na stabilitu státu respektive regionu
interpretovat historické i současné konflikty ve vztahu k politicko-geografickým aspektům
samostatně zhodnotit postavení státu v regionu
analyzovat a interpretovat vliv politicko-geografických faktorů na vnitřní i zahraniční politiky států
