Course content
|
Principal attention is given to the relation between theoretical and empirical aspects of landscape and non-invasive archaeology in the context of archaeological field methods. Stressed is the need for heritage protection for the sake of its preservation - not only due to esthetic value, but also its informative (cognitive) meaning. During the seminar the potential of modern innovative technologies for past landscape studies is discussed. Students talk about their work on their seminar papers based predominately on foreign literature.
