Course content
Lectures are focused on the basic questions of the Merovingian, Carolinian and Ottonian periods in West and Central Europe, architecture of the Great Moravian Empire and Ottonian Renaissance in Bohemia will be emphasized. Romanesque and Gothic structures (house, church and castle) in Europe and in Bohemia will be presented with emphasize put on used constructional technologies.
