Course content
1. Romanticism in literature written in German. 2. Realism in German literature. 3. Realism in Austrian literature. 4. Realism in Swiss literature. 5. Naturalism in literature written in German. 6. Literary and artistic movements in the turn of the 19th and 20th century.

  • Contact hours - 26 hours per semester
  • Undergraduate study programme term essay (20-40) - 37 hours per semester
  • Presentation preparation (report in a foreign language) (10-15) - 15 hours per semester
prerequisite
Knowledge
B1 level according to CEFR for languages (German) is required.
learning outcomes
Students will be able to recognize poetological specifics of literary and artistic movements and schools in literature written in German language from 19th and the beginning of 20th century. In wider connection students will understand basic features of changes in European culture.
