Course content
Specific aspects of Russian philosophical thinking: historicity, humanism and spirituality, relations to Christianity, public life and building of the state. Development and main tendencies of philosophical thinking in particular periods of time, the most important trends in the Russian philosophy of the 19th century. Trends in the Russian philosophy of the 20th century, development of Russia, analysis of future visions. Texts of Bardajev, Masaryk, Majsner, Solzhenitsyn and others, general texts about the nature of Russian philosophy. The readings will be completed with the texts describing the current situation in all spheres of Russian society.

Knowledge
Students' knowledge of Russian language is of B2 level (CEFR).

Students will be able to: - interpret the texts of significant Russian scholars - analyse the texts and put them in broader historical-cultural context - name and deepen various important thought of the author.
