Course content
Computer hardware. The basic setup, installation and connection of memory modules, disk, network, audio and graphics, cards, WiFi, BlueTooth, peripherals. Installing and configuring MS Windows OS, Linux. Configuring PC and its components, network connections, printers and other peripherals. Graphic and text interface. Safety and reliability, firewall, anti-virus programs. Convenient installation and configuration of OS. Administration of OS. Update of OS. Authorization mechanisms and access control. Command interpreter - the shell, scripts.

Basic skills and experience in working with PC.
learning outcomes
Students can install different operating systems, configure them, administer them at the system, technical and user level. Students can set the basic mechanisms of the security system. Student controls the basic mechanisms of management and system settings. Students can safely connect the workstation to the public computer network, can connect standard peripherals. The student knows the basic principles of management, user and group permissions and access mechanisms. Students can work with a command prompt and use the scripting language.
