Key learning outcomes
|
Graduates approve knowledge and understanding of biological and ecological terms, terms related with agriculture and its education and methods of these fields, and terms and didactics of natural science. They are acquainted with problems of recent biology and its didactics; they have knowledge of molecular biology and cell biology, human biology, they know basic laboratory methods. They are able to transform knowledge of biology, geology and ecology into basic school education. They are able to work with scientific articles, to search for relevant information and apply them to solve a specific problem. Graduates are able to gain basic biological data - by the field research or laboratory research - and they can analyse these data. Graduates are able to compose larger scientific text through study of literature and data collection and analysis. They can gain and critically analyse information, formulate arguments and publicly present their work. They can use one of the world languages. They are able to use IT technologies in education. They are able to review their study results and predispositions in relation with choice of their next curricular development.

Profile of the programme
|
This study programme is designed as an academic one. It consists of blocks of theoretical courses dealing with the field of human biology, ecology and enviromental protection and conservation, evolution biology and applied biology. At the same time, it comprises a block of courses focusing on exploiting theoretical background in practice and on acquiring skills that the graduate can apply in teacher of biology profession: didactics of biology, didactic experiments in biology and didactic excursions, methodology of teaching cultivation and environmental education.
