Course content
1. Basic issues of Developmental Psychology. The patterns of the developmental processes. 2. Determinants of Mental Development. Periodization. 3. Characteristics of integrative period - childhood, (physical, mental, and social characteristics). 4. Characteristics of culmination period - adulthood, middle age, (physical, mental, and social characteristics). 5. Characteristics of involutional period - old age, (physical, mental, and social characteristics). 6. Mental Deprivation. 7. Development disorder. 8. Development of motor and static functions. 9. Development of language. 10. Development of drawing ability. 11. Development of cognitive and emotional processes. 12. Development of character and moral properties. 13. Genesis of personality, self-knowledge.

to define basic psychic processes, states and phenomena, to recognize their developmental specifics, to apply their general knowledge to the field of their study.

Knowledge
use the fields terminology, define individual development periods, explain the needs and pecularities of behaviour and experiencing of students withrespect to the age, differ the specifics of the genesis of basic mental functions and processes, explain personality genesis evaluate the basic ontogenesis theories.
Skills
determine deviations of normal development, apply theoretical knowledge to the field of educational practice, analyze the child's drawing with the respect to the age, process the underlying history of a child of school age, assess the level of school preparedness of the child.
