| The lecture aims at giving the students the basic overview of the historical development of the Near East (Mesopotamia, Anatolia, Syropalestine, Iran) in the period from middle of the 2nd mill. BC until the Parthian and Sassanid periods (7th century AD). The lecture will concentrate on the main features of the political, economic and social development of that area. |
