The students will be acquainted with selected problems of the development of the economy and society in the ancient Near East, especially Mesopotamia, in the ancient period (3rd until 1st mill. BC). The attention will be paid especially to the problems connected with the organization of the economic activity and with the structure of the Mesopotamian society.
